Easily one of the most anticipate tech announcements of this year, Samsung has now taken the wraps off the G. Note 4 at their Unpacked Event, ahead of the official start of IFA 2014>
The Galaxy Note 4 follows suit on the Galaxy Alpha's new 'premium' aesthetics, offering up a mettalic frame in a body that has curved edges. However, the Note 4 features a faux leather back, through the texture is somewhat different when compared to predecessor (Galaxy Note 3) and no longer includes stitching in the design.
The Galaxy Note 4 offerse some huge improvements over last year's Note 3, including a 5.7-inch QHD 2560 x 1440-pixel, a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 3-7 megapixel front-facing camera, a 3220mAh battery, 32GB of storage with microSD support and 3GB of RAM. Most notable change is the phone's design.
On the software side of things, Samsung has made a few changes as well with an emphasis on creating a multi-tasking experience (because it's a phablet) that's on par with what you can do at a desktop computer. Not only you can use two-apps at once with multi-winow, but you can resize those apps to decide how much space each one gets. Samsung has also added some new camera tricks, including the ability to take a wide-angle selfie. The rear camera now comes with optical image stabilization (OIS) for super-fast focusing and an impressive 8x zoom, while both camera also offer better low-light results. And last but not that least, they've added the fingerprint sensor which is found also in the Galaxy S5. I just hope it's much better.
The Note 4 gets some of the same battery saving tech included with the S5, including an Ultra Power Saving Mode (which I call, UPSM) that should help get you throughout the day even if you're down to just 10% power. There's also a new Rapid Charge feature that get's you back up to 50 percent in 30 minutes, which the Oppo has also kind of this feature in Oppo Find 7, charging for 30 minutes and will be charge up to 75 percent.
Overall, Samsung made the Galaxy Note 4 better than last year. With a bigger resolution, better camera, better processor, better software updates, and a better design. So far, this is my favorite Galaxy device (even it's not out yet and even I can't get one when it's release).
The Galaxy Note 4 has the same specs with the Galaxy Note Edge, but what's different is that the Edge has a curved display on the right part of the phone which displays your notifcations, playback controls, news, sport scores, and can be serve as night clock.
